What is the difference between a Personal Travel Planner and a Travel Agent?

A Personal Travel Planner offers a bespoke service, crafting every detail of your trip based on your unique preferences. I work closely with you to create a personalised itinerary that reflects your vision of the perfect holiday. My approach is highly customised, providing insider tips, tailored recommendations, and a trip that’s exclusively yours.

In contrast, Travel Agents often work for free, relying on commissions from hotels, tours, and cruises they partner with. While they can offer convenient packages, you’ll typically have to choose from their preferred options, and their motivation may lean toward maximizing their earnings from your trip.

In short, I focus on your experience, while a travel agent may focus more on their partnerships.

How do you customise the travel itinerary to suit my needs?

I begin by understanding your preferences through a detailed questionnaire and consultation. This helps me tailor the itinerary to your specific interests, whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, cultural immersion, or a mix of everything. I then craft a plan that reflects your unique travel style.

Can you plan trips for families or groups with different interests?

Absolutely! I specialise in creating itineraries that cater to diverse needs within a group. Whether you're traveling with children, friends, or extended family, I'll ensure that there's something for everyone, with options for both group activities and personal downtime.

What if I don’t want a fully planned itinerary?

That's okay! I would normally recommend at least 50% of your trip planned for your best experience but we can decide how you want that to look. Remember, this is your trip and we ill customise it to suit you!

Can you help with last-minute travel plans?

I would be happy to assist with your last-minute plans. However, please note that this service will come at a higher cost due to the need to rejuggle my schedule. This ensures that I can still provide you, as well as my other clients, with the same high standard of care and attention.

How much does your service cost?

The cost of my services varies based on the complexity of the itinerary and the level of customization required. A day's itinerary, which includes up to 10 hours of activities and recommendations, starts at £90. But don’t worry, I also add some suggestions in your non-planned time as freebies!

Can you plan themed trips or special events?

Yes, I can help plan group trips, including hen do's, stag do's, and special occasions like anniversaries and honeymoons. I'll work closely with you to create a memorable experience tailored to your group’s preferences and needs.

How far in advance should I book your services?

It’s best to book as early as possible, especially for complex itineraries or peak travel seasons. This allows ample time to secure the best accommodations, activities and transportation options.

Do you book flights?

I do not book flights but I can research the best flight options for you and send you some links for booking. Normally you would start the process with me after you have your flights unless you need help with your destination and then I can find you the best flight options. Especially for multiple destination trips!

Do you book hotels?

No, I don't book hotels directly. This approach ensures you have complete control over your booking and allows you to access all the details, including special requests or loyalty points. However, I will thoroughly research and find the best options tailored to your preferences. I'll send you at least two carefully selected hotel choices so you can pick the one that suits you best.

How much do I pay to start with?

To begin crafting your personalised travel itinerary, I require full payment upfront. This ensures that I can dedicate the necessary time to thoroughly research and tailor every aspect of your trip to your preferences.
